Dr. Lauren Fishman began her veterinary journey with a B.S. in exercise physiology from the University of Miami, originally aiming for a career in equine sports medicine. Her path shifted during her clinical rotations, leading her to pursue small animal care instead. After completing a small animal medicine and surgery internship at BluePearl Specialty Pet Hospital in Florida, she developed a particular interest in treating challenging dermatology cases and snub-nosed breeds (e.g. Frenchies, English bulldogs, Pugs, Bostons). Dr. Fishman also finds joy in building lasting relationships with the families of her patients. After several years practicing in New England, she recently relocated to Florida and is excited to be a part of the Westchase community. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time at the barn with horses or exploring the neighborhood with her husband and their mischievous French Bulldog.
