Hello Westchase, Florida! I am Doctor Molly Barr and I just recently moved here from sunny Buffalo, New York. I grew up in New York but attended the University of Connecticut for my undergraduate degree in Pathobiology. After undergrad, I moved to Buffalo to begin working on a Master's degree in pathobiology, and I also applied to veterinary school. I had the opportunity to attend Ross University on the island of St. Kitts in the Caribbean to work on my Doctorate and so I left my Master's program in Buffalo. I finished my clinical year at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. After graduation, I moved back to Buffalo and worked for 4.5 years at a small animal clinic before relocating to Florida. Leaving my family, my home, and all my clients and their pets was difficult, but I am very excited to have joined the team here at Westchase Veterinary Center! I moved to Tampa with my dog Hank, who has been with me since January 2007 after being rescued on St. Kitts. When I am not working, I like to spend my free time enjoying the outdoors and any physical activities, especially playing volleyball. Between Hank and the family pets we had growing up, I know and understand how much a part of the family our pets are. I look forward to continuing your pet's care and making their quality of life the best it can be!
